Late news from your friendly sabertooth here. I am now able to learn how to code in C and able to make my first (yet simple) console application. It is just a color palette maker that stores it as html or txt file. Very proud of it. Maybe I will be able to make a game or something, who knows ;)
Moving aside my nerdy computer side, I'm putting my nerdy art side on the wheel this time. *Ahem* To recap this year, I have made at least 60 art pieces this year (not including ones that are on sketch, versions of finished artworks, and assets/concept art), so it may as well total to almost 80 art pieces.
I've been able to join my first Artfight event. Yeah. I just made over 4 drawings and I'm sure I can go beyond that next time. Oh! If you have an art event that I never know. Please tell me.
I am kinda confused with doing art commissions as a side job, especially I only have one client (
), since I've stated that I'm taking them. For anyone reading this, I know that asking this on a journal here is ineffective. But can you give me some pointers or something?
Now for the unfinished business part. I am going to do a bullet point type list here in priority order that I'm aiming to finish or at least start working on this year.
•Raffle winner's art pieces
•Summer Special Phase 2
•A short comic on Schiff, Viola and Chlea (changed the characters and it will be SFW for... reasons ;) )
•Adventure Tails
• And artworks that are sadly stuck on WIP status.
Well, that's more likely it for this. Y'know, just posting a long journal out of nowhere. that's me! Anyways, keep safe and a happy new year everyone!

FA+

For the art commissions as a side; I would say don't stress about it. There can be dry seasons with hard working artists, and atm even I'm having hard times having extra money to pay a commission. Also; marketing, marketing and branding - some people branch out in X, bluesky, telegram and other social medias to gain attraction easily. In terms of artist you are constantly improving and going a great on that area - Finding paying customers can be up to pure luck so it's good mentality to consider it as side job
Anways, keep commission open and continue working on your art. You'll get lucky eventually. Stay awesome ;)
