Weeellll...that's not necessarily true. Egg-laying creatures DO still have periods - the difference is that they just end up laying whole unfertilized eggs when it's over, while humans and other animals that give live birth flush out their unused egg along with the uterine lining it was supposed to implant onto, resulting in all the bleeding. Both still go through the cramps, bloating and discomfort (though when and for how long varies from species to species), and both still end up expelling an egg in the end.
You're right... I'm screwed either way! Aughhh....
Honestly laying an entire whole egg sounds painful because it's bigger but honestly if I was going to through that kinda discomfort, I would want to at least eat it LOL
Lots of animals do exactly that. If it's unfertilized, eating your own eggs is a great way to recycle those proteins that were lost in making the egg in the first place.
Not to pull an "um actually ☝️🤓", but there's very few species other than humans that have menstrual cycles. Egg-laying animals do not have periods. It is inaccurate to refer to a chicken or any other egg-laying animal as having a period when they lay an unfertilized egg. It is not the same process at all.
And not all dragons would lay eggs either, but that also doesn't mean they'd have a menstrual cycle. ;)
Most animals just simply reabsorb what a human would shed via menstruation.
In theory.... But it would also mean that you would feel bloated and full of eggs periodically... and if they get fertilized.... would have to lay them.... It's definitely less messy... but I feel it may be more annoying.

But the answer is yes.
Maintain eye contact. Gulp as uncomfortably slow as possible. Refuse to elaborate. Repeat as needed. Leave.
:>
At least they don't get access to memes
Honestly maybe the way we are right now isn't bad... I cannot imagine being egg-bound. The thought makes me cry WHY WHY
