Requesting Critiques
I saw unidentified-tf do this, and I thought what a good idea for the beginning of the year!
I'm always looking to move forward with my work, and I'd love to hear any comments/critiques/etc you have for my art. ^^
Any feedback is great feedback, so don't be shy.
It's very helpful to get sets of alternate views to spark new ideas or set course for improvement.
Also... Happy new year! :D

I don’t really have any critiques. Simply as your work is already astounding and gorgeous with every piece.
Keep making the things that make you happy~
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you <3 Hope you've been doing well!
Oohh, great critique, thank you! I come from a background of realism, so I don't often consider pushing proportions, unless it was something a client asked me for specifically. While it's not a particular interest (or disinterest, equally) of mine, I always like to consider flexing new artistic muscles, so I'll keep it in mind :D
You're doing a great job and it's always fun seeing what you draw next.
So glad you've been enjoying things! ♥
If I had any critiques it would be that in my opinion some of the journals the TF is abrupt between the third and fourth panels on the overviews.
That's a great critique, thank you! I'll definitely keep it in mind, and try a few new things to make the final transition smoother. :D
Your art style has gotten a little softer lately, and I think it really suits you!
Drawing softer feels a lot more natural now. Don't know how it happened, but something I admired slowly turned into something that started happening. Ahah, either way, it's very validating to hear that <3
a lot of TF art I see shows people being diminished by their transformation. It is a genre full of art where a person is made to suffer by their transformation and left helpless and distressed. Just as often they are possessed, overwritten or erased completely by their transformation.
I want to see transformation as a rebirth into beauty and happiness, and the art we see here fulfils that. It's a good feeling and I thank you for it.
As well as that, transformation is a genre of invention and of creating new shapes as transformees shift from their old bodies to new ones and I think you do a fantastic job at imagining those shapes and posing those transitional bodies as they make their transformative journey. It's a true skill and it's great to see you execute it so well. You hold yourself to such a high artistic standard, and that is always a very positive experience for we lucky viewers.
So, only praise for my feedback to you. Thank you for sharing this public display of your artworks. They are uplifting and bring me happiness.
I used to try a 50/50 split of fulfilling vs unwilling, but as time went on, I really discovered how much more I enjoyed the former... I'm SO happy to hear you feel the same!! My #1 favourite subject is having the character becoming a form of their 'true self', whether or not they realize it at first. That, and ones where the character is reserved or startled, but begins to revel in it. I love the mood shift for the better, hehe.
Aha, that all said, thank you again! I'll keep these words close to my heart!
Your art is an inspiration. I say you do you, and make sure you're having fun!
And likewise! Here's to a good 2025 ^^
But in some specific scenarios, there can be some pretty big same-face syndrome. Mainly with mid-TFs when muzzles are barely forming on the face, and it lacks any trait of the animal--but it kind of overwrites the defining facial features of the person before. There can also be some same face syndrome with similar species (foxes & wolves, different kinds of felines, etc). It's not that big of a deal with colored images, but with black & white stuff it tends to be a lot harder to tell some characters and sequences apart from one another since there's not as many defining traits.
I hope that was clear, like I said it's a super specific thing and it's kinda hard to describe ^.^'
The latter is an interesting one, as I have a lot of experience with drawing animals realistically, and have no problem with that there... But stylizing them while keeping them distinct isn't something I've even considered. Could be fun to try different ways of doing things like ears and such :D
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it!! ♥
