So, yeah... on Saturday evening, when it started to snow really heavily, I was out with my lovie, Battie, visiting a friend. I was driving along on the way back when I changed lanes on top of a patch of ice covered with snow. My rear wheels lost grip, and since this happened on a turn, the back end swung out into a drift. I recovered slowly on the turn, only for the back end to swing out the other way.

I fought the car back and forth like this for a good distance when, finally, I lost concentration for an instant, cut the wheel too far, and sent the car towards the right-hand-side wall, right at a lamp post. Battie was sitting in the passenger seat, and there was no way in hell I was avoiding the lamppost, so I swung the back end towards the wall and punched the gas to try bringing the car away to save Battie.

It worked in the sense that neither of us got a scratch, but the entire passenger side of my car from the front edge of the rear passenger door back got destroyed, and my rear axle got destroyed...

So I have no more car...
