First and foremost. I have been way too absent from the furry fandom lately.
It has been really challenging for me lately, to balance my family life and my veterinary tech job. As I get older its also been somewhat hard to connect with the furry fandom. I still enjoy the art and especially getting to create it, but I just have drifted somewhat.
I want to sort of re-invest in the fandom some. Im not sure what exactly that entails though.

I have been suffering from some extreme compassion fatigue and burn out at my job. Im a good nurse, I love the medicine I get to practice. But to be perfectly blunt. The field sucks. Even though Im in a good environment, it is still at the end of the day, a brutal job. Between the amount of people who have to put their pets down for many reasons, to neglectful awful people, to just plain suffering... It has been really eating at my mental health. Im not sure exactly if its in the cards for me, but I would like to get back into doing furry a little more, and maybe veterinary work, a little less. My mental health is suffering and its really dawning on me that this field that I do love, I simply cannot do forever. I will both age out physically and mentally probably sooner. I have no idea what I am going to transition to, whether I will go back to college or what. But Im starting to explore the potential that a big life change will be in the works for me. My schedule is the trickiest part as Wind and I are passionate about how we are raising our kids, with me home as much as possible.
If anyone has any leads, tips or pointers about some sort of reliable work from home type of work, please reach out! I do have a college degree and alot of varied work experience.
