Where did you find out about tag blocking??
I'd love to at least have options to filter out my searches on this site or on the front page.

It's nice to have it now. But it sure as hell isn't perfect. Not everyone tags their uploads, or know what to tag it.

Yeah, and I know this has been an issue on every social media. It's hard for there to be a perfect solution when part of the system relies on user responsibilty. So I know things may slip through but it's a solid foundation! A step forward is always good!

I will say, Itaku does it better. It has a tag database and also allows other users to suggest tags to artists.

Having a suggest system additions sounds like a good solution to that problem. A nice compromise between leaving it in ignorance and allowing viewers too much power over uploads

Especially for older pieces that folks have left up, but aren't active anymore. Or... Not around anymore to update them... D;

The developers are working on a tag database, this is the first step in that direction to make sure it works before they go farther! but yeah, before tags were largely useless which is why tag fields were commonly empty. them having a purpose now may finally encourage people to start appropriately tagging

I love it too aaahhh. I think I can finally remove some warnings about my fetishy stuff (at least the categorization anyway).

I think keeping the fetish in the title will be handy IMO, since the blocked images don't tell you what tag is blocked afaik. Like, maybe someone isn't usually into X, and have it blocked, but might make an exception for their favorite artists?

Especially for some things, i.e. gore. One person's thought and tags of what counts as "gore" might include even a little bit of blood (rather than "mayhem of blood and limbs" that another person might think of for gore).

Good point about having the trigger/fetish in the title as an added warning*rubs chin*.

It looks like tags blocked get seen when someone puts their cursor over an image, so putting it in the title may not be as needed! :O

As someone who also enjoys social no-nos I'm SO happy for this update. They're still working on it and this is the first step to having a more thorough tagging system like e621 / itaku ect. Glad this is finally coming around! Maybe it'll encourage people to start tagging appropriately too.
