Just wanted to share you what happened this morning... Add such impolite person who contacted me for work and they got banned for that.
Due to FA policies, I won't share the name, anyway their account is nowhere to be found now. Good thing.
Long story, tried to make it as simplie as I can;
Them: Contact me for a commission.
Me: Told them that I'm closed so I can finish my current queue BUT I can add them on my waitlist for February.
Them: Explain that they really need a reference sheet done quickly telling me something like; I saw your work and you seems pretty fast. Can you help me please???? I'm ready to pay extra $$$ if you accept.
Me: Has no clue who this person his, it's not a watcher for mine. I'm kinda broke so I decide to hear them out. I'm like; MAYBE I can help if it's a simple character. And that the price would be higher then 40$USD (Me explaining pricing and extra fee.)
Them: 40$USD is too high, try to bargain price, better he can do is 25$USD.
Me: I let them know that I sadly can't work for 25$USD. I wish them a nice day and good reseach to find an artist.
Them: (Ignored me telling them I can't help): They send me a reference sheet; It's a character draw on a paper and it's a photo with poor quality, so I don't full understand the whole thing. Character is awfully detailed (Very detailed). And then they listed me with a million details about the character like; 4 arms, also some mecha details, 2 sets of wings, insert specific tattoo and marks on body, insert 4 differents outfits he want, many accessories, also want to add animals pets along the side, ALSO want a female and futa version along with a male version and cuntboy version, so like 4 different gender version of this character, also he wanted different coats for seasons. Send me a complete novel to explain me the character backstory and bio... And this is just a resume, I never ever got a note that long. And after the note they are like; can you do it for 25$USD???
Me looking at this; 0__________________________0 nOpe, NOPE, nope, nope... I don't want to do that, I won't do that... Knowing they don't have the fund. I reply and let them know that I can't do it. Again, I wish them a good day.
Them: It's not that hard! Just do it please! I can maybe do 30$USD it's all I have T.T Then start to talk about their sick cat???? Like trying to make me feel guilty?
Me: ....................................................................................................................... no (In my mind). I re-told them that I can't. (Like I copy pasted the text I already send them two times...)
Then the shit it the fan.
Them: Call me a *itch. Tell me that I will now do it for free because I was not friendly enough??? Then he started to tell me that he have TONS of followers and they will ask their friends to harrass me because I'm a greedy c*unt who only think about money.
Me with a WTF face: Go to their page because I'm curious; they have like... 5 followers... The account is like... 2 years old, never posted anything. (Where's the TONS of followers??? Why are you to act like my boss???) I decide not to reply, I'm too tired for that shit. Did the mistake to not block them. MISTAKE.
Them 5 MINUTES after: How dare you ghost me now??? (Wow, got pissed because I didn't replied in less then 5 minutes, guess 5 minutes was their patience limite.)
Me: Explaining that I end the conversation now since they are now threatening me, to not ever contact me again or else I will report them. (Like I hate to report peoples, I try not t if possible)
Them: Threathen to find my house in Quebec and (Insert here disgusting thingS to do to a women, then RIP Her.)
Me: .................................................................
Reported them.
Their account vanished one hour after.

Please be kind with your artists, even if you are not happy with the prices... I know life is expensive now, I know a lot of persons are broke now, I know it's not easy but just a reminder. We are all on the same boat and no one deserve to be treated like this. If someone do something like that to you, report them, block them, don't waste your energy and kindness on theses persons.

You were right to report it! A person like that has nothing to do on the platform!
Funny thing; I didn't received news from FA that they saw my report ticket so I guess someone else reported them before me.
Just funny because even if it happened to me several time, I'm always shocked when it happen.

All that aside, this "client"'s behavior is just unnecessary and wrong on so many levels. As you've pointed out in a reply to someone else, you're not being greedy, you even marked down your prices previously because of the global economic depression going on. Everyone has bills to pay and expenses of their own. To imply otherwise, or to be so incredibly cruel to someone who's doing you a kindness just by responding and not blocking you automatically after the first outburst, is just.... Seriously, what the hell?
And don't worry, I don't even try to understand what this person was thinking. I think they were just mad because I didn't gave them what they wanted, it's just a ungrateful brat yelling for free candies. The fact that they got banned before I even got news from FA is just telling me that they got reported by someone else. So if I was not the only person reporting them, it's their problem.
And yeah, given their behavior that's really not surprising in the slightest. I think I've had maybe ONE client in the past few years that's ended up banned, but for reasons I still don't know. Not even an entry on ArtistBeware. And FA is rather lax when it comes to certain things, to get banned that quickly is both impressive and alarming in and of itself. I think the last time I saw that happen was with someone named Talonpaw1. This person really had to have been horrible to end up gone that quickly, this is why I run background checks on my clients (I.E., going to the shouts on their page and looking for red flags and if I'm still not sure, check ArtistBeware) I know it's extreme, but we've all been taken advantage of before and I'd much rather avoid anything similar in the future.
But I mean, they are now banned and they have to deal with their action. Their lost, my win ;)
I mean, I totaly understand when someone tell me that he can't afford my work, I know everything is now more expensive then before, but at the end of the day, I myself need to pay my bills and rent, I need to buy food, I need to pay for my rabbit's food and hay. About a year ago my prices were a little bit higher and I decided to myself lower my own prices because I knew peoples wouldn't be able to afford it. So to see someone calling me (greedy), it just really hurt because I lowered my prices because I cared...
This was either a scammer, or a bad troll but sadly some people are just that entitled and retarded, pardon my French.
Or maybe they are just terminally online and forgot that there is another human being on the other end of the internet connection, who can't create actual art within five minutes on demand for pennies.
Just sad because It's not the first time someone talked to me this way, I feel like so many peoples forgot that we are humans and not machines...

As said on other comments; it's not the first time it happen and surely won't be the last.
Sometime I like sharing theses so everyone can learn from it.
Ususaly pretty much 99% of my interactions are good and peoples are often really nice to me, but that 1% can easily take all my energy sometime ^^'
When they suddenly start using guilt and sob stories or make threats as a means to get what they want, that just makes any artist want to block them immediately.
And i consider it very egotistical when someone says they have tons of followers, which I see as them trying to make themselves look bigger than they actually are.
Over the years, I learned how the deal with that, but I'm always amazed to see how some peoples has such level of entitlement towards other online.
