IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
So, here's how it works:
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool..
Opening Credits
Tachikoma Beat Showcase by Sam Reeve (from Ghost In The Shell Tribute Category: Techno Style)
(Set this to a time-lapse morning scene...)
Waking Up
Reiterated Inspiration by Scott Peeples from Project Majestic Mix: SquareDance LE
A little on the melancholy side, but if I'm actually faced with waking up in the MORNING...
First Day At School
Kyuukyoku Hakai Program by Shiro Hamaguchi from Ah My Goddess TV Original Soundtrack 2
(Can't even comprehend this one...)
Making Your New Best Friend
Fall Semester by The Get Up Kids from Four Minute Mile
(lol dunno. Appropriate in the ironic sense?)
Falling In Love
Drag by Justin Clayton from the old MP3.com
(oh wow, the ironic. "You're like a drug / I don't know if I should hate you")
Breaking Up
Hollywood by Ultra Velvet, no idea the source (unless it's also MP3.com)
(Does nothing for me)
Prom
Adam's Song by Blink-182 from Enema of the State
(now I'm just creeped out... I'm not sure I'd see this movie now.)
Graduation
Son Of "Cha!" by Local H from Here Comes The Zoo
(Yes, my collection's eclectic. Pretty sure this is where the movie takes a nihilistic twist.)
Life's Okay
Souvenir by Korn from See You On The Other Side
(If this is what gets picked for Life's okay... my life must really turn south at some point)
Death of a Close Friend
Candy Store Rock by Led Zeppelin from The Led Zeppelin Box Set (Disc 4/4)
(Damn. warped.
Mental Breakdown
Missing Time by KMFDM from MDFMK
(Considering everything else that's come up, the first really appropriate track (The world is crashing inside-out / gently I came off the hinges) Great song, though.)
Driving
Destiny by Zero7 from Simple Things Remixes
(I must be sane again and in that scary calm place)
Flashback
Crystal Palace by Øystein Sevåg from A Winter's Solstice IV
(I've had plenty of really lousy Christmases.)
Getting Back TogetherMajor Force / Return of the Original Art Form by Fatboy Slim from Essential Millennium (CD 2 of 3)
(what the fuck.)
Birth of Child
Megalomaniac (Bomb) - Mix By Excessive Force from the KMFDM self-titled LP
(Did I sire the antichrist or something?)
Wedding Scene
Bleed Black by A.F.I. from Sing the Sorrow
(The normal moment must have been a brief respite)
Car Accident
Shak (Rock Yer Sol) by Skylab2000
(or maybe this movie's supposed to be a tragedy? Go driving, get better, get T-boned? Lame. I definitely wouldn't see this movie)
Death Scene
Punk by Gorillaz from the self-titled CD
(Tell me I can find something better to listen to when I'm dying, please!
Funeral Song
La Who? by La Junta
(Never heard this before... frankly, it should've stayed this way. Maybe someone crashed the funeral with a ghettoblaster? Hopefully everyone present beat the shit outta 'em.)
End Credits
Chopin F minor Ballade by Sonia Rubinsky, piano from Alma Brasileira Recital
(/me shivers)
