Band in Toronto named Apple of Basilisk released an EP named His Crowned Skull Raised to the Sun which you can listen to at the referenced article; it's one of five singles they have ready for a release of an album later this year. According to the band, "it deals with greed, selfishness, class warfare, death acceptance, and revolution." So they've got that going for 'em!

A wild remix has emerged: Temple Music/Rendeece, which I stumbled across back in March of 2022, has released remixes of With a Golden sickle including tracks like The Cockatrice and The Storm-Cock which at least has a title that just sounds awesome. I may just want it for the Album Cover.

And finally on the cuter side of things, a crochet cockatrice chick by tashabee.creations. The pattern is apparently going to be included in an upcoming book, Fantasy Crochet Creatures. I can knit but never got the knack for crochet. I should give it another go.
