hallo fuzzies!

just wanted to post a little status update about work schedule and queue and whatnot

first of all, there will be no YCHs for this month. i would've gotten them posted for patrons already, but i feel it would be irresponsible right now. so we're skipping those this month

i wanted to have finished all of the commissions that i took last month by now, but i realized that i made a mistake. when i took them, i was mathing things out to have work to fill a whole month and.....by the time i actually got them open and then closed and paid, we were a week and a half through the month already...... >.> so i gave myself less than 20 days to do a whole tight month's worth of work >.> oops

SO i still have 4 commissions and a patreon illustration to finish. i feel so bad about it, i'm really trying to be good and fast and stick to a schedule x.x
but i figure tearing myself up about it doesn't help (i'll do it anyway). i can only try my best. i think if i'd had a whole month to do these instead of the <20 days i gave myself, it would've been fine. i'll try better next time

speaking of next time, i do plan to have commissions open in May and September. it'll be pretty much the same deal as this time. however, i'm thinking that during big-comm months, i won't do YCHs, so that i don't accidentally do this same thing again. those months will be JUST normal commissions (and patreon/kofi rewards)

in the meantime, i'll be doing wing-its. so i'll get those open as soon as i can (because i have ZERO income at all until i do, aaahhh), which will HOPEFULLY be this coming friday. hopefully.
i'll also be doing the normal YCHs in wing-it months, except for this month obviously

okay that's like the "to do" part of the status update. now i'll throw in a little "have done" part for the other side of the coin
because it's important to look at everything you've done, not just what you have in front of you
i cleared out my trello earlier this month to start the year fresh and to see the progress i've made, and this year so far, i've done:
- 4 wing-its
- 3 full illustrations
- 4 monochrome sketches
- 3 experimental busts
- 4 edits to older commissions
- 2 full ref sheets
- 2 traditional art tiles
(- and like 1/2 to 3/4 or the 5 other things in my queue)

everything i have left is already started and most are actually nearly finished
