The Sonic 3 movie
I'm not a big Sonic fan.
I wasn't impressed with the Sonic 1 movie.
I especially wasn't impressed with the Sonic 2 movie.
So I wasn't really sure about the 3rd movie...
But last night I ended up going to the theater, cause my sister felt like watching it on a whim.
As I watched Sonic 3, all I could do was smile the whole time.
Sonic 3 was a really fun movie, and I loved how over the top goofy it was! Seeing Sonic and Shadow on screen together was awesome too! I even started tearing up near the end too.
Sonic 3 was the best Sonic movie I've ever seen.
Sonic 1 & 2 had to exist so Sonic 3 could be made, so I'm glad the other 2 movies exist now.
I think I just might end up buying them all on Blu-ray now.
Live and learn.

Sonic 2 was a proof-of-concept for a Sonic movie using Sonic lore.
Sonic 3 is the movie they wanted to make all along.
They all have there merits, but you could just tell Sonic 3 was the movie they've had in mind since the first one came out.
But for every problem with pacing, tonal whiplash, and awkward bit of dialogue, there's a dozen other things they get right, not least of which are the characters.
If you went back in time to 2019, after that first trailer dropped, and you told me "hey they're gunna redesign Sonic, and then make at least 4 movies in this series, and they're going to adapt SA2." I wouldn't believe it. These movies are like an 8 year long magic trick.
