Woo my first math test tomorrow and I am -not- feeling good about it.
So far I've never had to ask a teacher so much to explain how it is they do things. Maybe we just aren't clicking or what, I don't know. Not that he's been mean but I got used to doing things one way is all. He's a minimal-homework kind of teacher, or rather he's experimenting with that right now and a lot of other methods, so we're kind of the guinea pig class, something I don't exactly appreciate.
It was too late to drop though by the time he explained all this to me, so I'm just gonna have to put in even -more- work and study extra hard. Just kind of sucks when I have a full load already, but that's life isn't it.
I don't expect to do well tomorrow, so that way I don't set my expectations too high. Calc 2 has been.... well. Golly. It's sure been a thing. And this is only the beginning. Combined with his teaching style that doesn't fit my learning style? It's going to be rough. I can probably kiss that 4.0 GPA goodbye, and I'm really sad about that.
Whatever though, I just gotta get through this doozy T_T.

Good luck. I know how much guinea pig classes are in terms of suckage. Every time our books change for my classes, it's the same too. I feel awful for the students.
I suppose I can't blame the guy for trying to tweak things in his class around and his teaching style, based off feedback he's getting from students... only problem is those students complain about there being too much work. And unfortunately for math, you need to do a lot of problems in order to cement the processes down in your head. So, this year he's trying like, a minimal homework approach. I did have a chat with him though to explain what helps *me* personally, so I hope he takes that into account, that some students like me *like* the extra practice.
I did get him to make a review to study off of for the test at least which helped a ton , so!... I hope he finds his way. It's just rough I gotta be part of his 'figuring-out' process is all.
