Cant expect anyone to draw something right if you dont correct them. just like how you can have stuff on the ref thats correct and majority of the time it gets drawn wrong (tails, pawpads, nose, digit count, etc, etc)

Of course not, which is why I regret not pointing it out & the reason for me making this journal, but aw well...
I'm still happy with how it has been drawn regardless. Hopefully I can correct it more to my liking in future arts

just gotta stay on top of it. There would be no point in getting wips if you arent gonna correct stuff and people (generally speaking) need to stop acting scared like asking to have your character drawn correctly is somehow some offense to the artist even though they asked and are showing sketches, flats, etc to make sure.also gotta keep in mind quite a few artists dont really look at refs much, they glance at it for the general shapes and then just draw it for memory and only look at it again for colors so you have to be paying attention and point stuff out.

I have the same issue with some inconsistencies with my ears.. I love all the art I've gotten but gosh I should invest in a new ref that would really be direct about some small details xD.
