Why the name Twining Tree Creations? 🧐
There were a large variety of options I mused over before I chose Twining Tree Creations. During college, I was a long-time member of the incredible Pagan student organization The Society of Earth-based Religions where I both joined and led various meditations groups. It was during this time that I found and developed an internal visualization of a massive tree formed of two together, twisting and twining, until they grew above the rest of the forest. Among the branches hang a series of hanging lanterns each with their own small firey dragon spirit as the flame. This imagery became a core symbol within myself to focus on and explore how it related to myself. And so, the Twining Tree was born. 😊
One tree a Rowan. One tree a Crab Apple. Symbolizing two forces both unique, yet connected and growing stronger together. Together, they represent myself, my work, my spirituality, and my inspiration. Each tree signifying it's own side of the balance of life. The physical and mental. The masculine and feminine. Strength and empathy. The primal and the intellect. Traditional art and digital art. Science and Spirituality. Above all, the Twining Tree represents the way these forces are not separate, but, rather, reflections of each other. While the tiny flame dragons represent the active force of creation and expression.
This representation is seen in my work primarily through my interest in education by providing scientific and spiritual research with my illustrations. I strive not only to educate about our natural world, the creatures in it, and our relation to it all, but also to inspire. My work hinges on a large amount of custom art commissions. This is meant to be a conduit for anyone to see their own inner imagery come to life. Whether I am working on a personal order or vending at a convention, fair, or event, it brings me the most joy to see the smiles of those who see what they've yearned to make real finally in their hands. I've never balked from working on as wide a range of artworks as I can to make this a possibility for as many as I can.😄
My display may often be chaotic or stuffed to the brim with artwork, but I adore it! I can't help the urge to share and show the world of options available. The imagery behind my name and logo are deeply personal and I can't wait to work on the next version of the design to show even better the meaning and depth of my work.
If you've gotten this far, thank you for reading! I don't often get hugely personal, but wanted to share this bit of meaning behind my inspiration as I've often been asked the question, Why Twining Tree Creations?
❤️
