Week28:Unbirth&Rebirth Story Shoutouts:Unbirth Week 7
7 months ago
Ok, first thing first, I know I promised a simple short story by the end of the week, but real life got in the way, I’m going to try and finish it by the end of this week sorry.
Its unbirth week again so please look forward to these 3 stories I will shoutout below.
Our first story is The Dragon’s Ritual by TheFloofyCow

Commentary/Spoilers below
In this one a female Hydra is captured by a cult that wishes to use her in order to become dragons. You see they made a deal with a Dragon that if they present him with a suitable mate he would have that mate unbirth all of them so they can be reborn as his children. Ironically the Hydra is ok with this situation as the Dragon is a well-known powerful dragon and having him as a mate would be a boon.
I think the best aspect of this story in particular was the characters, each one felt quirky and likeable, and the casualness of story was apricated. Sometimes it's nice to read a story where everyone is ironically cool with the odd fetish stuff happening. The sex scenes were also expertly crafted.
Thanks very much TheFloofyCow for the story, you really know how to bring your characters to life.
Up next is Dragon Care Revolution by dionje5

Commentary/Spoilers below
This one takes place in a medieval fantasy universe in which dragons are used as war mounts as they have very little intelligence. A dragon caretaker in training is accidently unbirthed by one of the female dragons that are being taken care by the royal army. The female dragon then has sex with a male dragon which sparks off the events of the caretaker being reborn. Unlike the usual rebirth story, that I usually shoutout, the caretaker manages to retain his memories/identity immediately after being reborn. Problem is that he doesn’t have full control of his throat/body in order to communicate that he was once human. Eventually he manages to communicate his human origin to the others by scribbling some words on stone. He is presented to the king who wants to replicate the process so his army could be stronger. They manage to do this and soon all of the elites and the nobility become dragons. After many years most of humanity becomes dragons because dragons that have human origins are able to naturally create offspring who have human levels of intelligence and magic is able to replace most of the human labor.
I honestly thought this was going to be kind of an evil wins kind of story but most of humanity evolving into dragons was a nice surprise ending. Not that an evil ending is bad but I just personality always like stories where a species replaces humans thru forced rebirth. I guess it's really not forced in this case. Non the less it's an excellent story.
Thank you djionje5 for the great story
Lastly is Huntress of The Woods by Wanderingspirit1333

Commentary/Spoilers Below
This story is interesting because the author tries to make the plot similar to an average slasher movie with the last victim getting the opportunity to be reborn instead of being killed. My only problem I had when reading it the first time is that the author doesn’t describe what the huntress actually looks like. As such I didn’t know if she was human, anthro, or some kind of wendigo but looking back on it now, he probably was thinking about the huntress from the game Dead by Daylight as she also defends a wooded area, is hostile to all humans but desperately wants a daughter. I still could be wrong as he doesn’t describe the huntress as having a mask or humming a lullaby and those are her two defining traits she would have if this huntress was the one from Dead by Daylight.
Thanks Wanderingspirit1333 for the story, it's always interesting to see a rebirth story in a genre I haven’t seen before
