Today I'm 50.

Yes, I was born in 1975. Furry is forever, because it was always there. If you're really a furry, you won't grow out of it. Your relationship/involvement with the fandom might change, but animal characters will always excite something deep inside of you that you can't control. For me it was Warner Brothers characters, Don Bluth characters, and Dark Age of Disney(also Don Bluth) characters. I had watched Bugs Bunny ever since I can remember. But at some point in either '78 or '79, I got this hardcover book(https://www.ebay.com/itm/205066148325) of The Rescuers. There was something about how these two mice were drawn, their emotions, their poses, everything. I couldn't get enough. Fast forward a few years and I saw The Secret of NIMH on TV, man I wish I had seen it in the theater when it came out. In 1985 I saw The Great Mouse Detective when it came out. This was the last movie of Disney's 'Dark Age'. Bluth was long gone, but apparently his character design and look hung on because it looks and feels like a Bluth movie. Then I saw An American Tail on video in 1987 and I was furry as FUCK!
All of us know there is a massive sexual element to our furriness. I'm sure it's a little different for everyone. The first sexual thing I remember was as a 10 year old kid. I absolutely noticed all those panty-shots on Olivia Flaversham in the Great Mouse Detective. I didn't see that movie again until around 2008 and I wondered if maybe I had imagined that. Nope, we get a massive dose of mouse panties in that movie. It only went downhill from there. Boy did I have some DIRTY fantasies about cartoon characters! Even as a preteen. I didn't even know why I had thoughts like that, I just knew it felt good to think about them that way. Remember folks, this was all pre-internet, so I was completely alone in these thoughts. Just a side note, there were and still are a few human female characters who captured my heart. But that list is very short.
You can imagine my surprise when I found the furry fandom in 1996. There were other people who liked this kind of stuff!! And furry porn!! Sweet sweet furry porn!! Stuff I can actually jack off to! I never really cared much for normal human porn. Some of it was okay, but most of it was just, meh. I was fortunate enough to have a few real girlfriends in my late teens and early 20s, and that took care of my need for real human intimacy. But it also showed me that my furriness is something entirely its own.
I created Chucky in 1998 during my last year of college. He was mostly just my online fursona for roll playing until, I wanna say late 2000. That's when I started fleshing him out as a character in his own world. I started the Chucky aviation comic at the end of 2005, which you're all familiar with because it's all on here.
So where the hell am I going with this journal? I don't know. Obviously I'm MUCH older than my fursona so hopefully I can keep writing him convincingly as a 13-year-old. I must constantly remember being a young teen(minus most of my shitty attitude) and what it was like. So here's to another 20-30 years of drawing furry characters as long as my eyesight and dexterity hold up.
And to my recent watchers, that's any of you who started watching me within the last two years or so. I've pretty much stopped posting furry art here. I still post regularly on Inkbunny: https://inkbunny.net/Chucky
So if you want to see more, that's the place to find it.

In other words, Anthrocon was beaten to the punch by about 5,000 Years:

Oh, yeah, Happy Birthday
But enough about me! Hope your 50th is everything u want it to be. ^^ 🍰
I really enjoyed this posting; I can relate to so much of it.
Thank you for the stories you do. I am really enjoying Chucky and the White Witch. I am familiar with the region this story takes place in, so it's fun seeing your vision of the place as it might be many centuries from now.
Hap berf. Keep on keepin' on.
Get those knees checked out. I started having knee problems at 40 as well and getting an MRI was one of the best things. It doesn't fix 'em but it answers questions.
You’ve created an icon!
Happy birthday, Chucky.
see you around in the woods sometime
For me it's actually thesame story , wen I got internet at the age of 16 I found out that I was not the only one with this weird habit of having "feelings"for cartoon characters :3
yes i'm a gray-muzzle too, 44 years old.
So I guess what I'm saying is that, absent Disney, all of us would have been led into furry by something.
And yes ofc. There were more good animators ,even Hannah barbera was top in their first animations.
Mixing toons together and trying to imagine is what I do too sometimes. I've seen some bianca vs brisby or mousley arts who re amusing to see :3
Hope you treat yourself for the occasion!
