As a fellow kaneki lover and simp I will warn you, dead by daylight seems kinda like torture to play and it's the only reason why I'm on the edge of buying it right now when I want to play as Kaneki so bad

I ended up getting it and it's... Okay ig? Haha. Looks like our boi will be released in April, so you've got time to reconsider!
Also if you haven't heard there's a new manga series by Ishida Sui called Choujin X, and a game by them called Jack Jeanne.

Currently kaneki is only playable in public test Mode which is full of bugs at the moment. Full Release for him will be later. And since Kaneki is licenced character it will cost extra to purchase him along with the main game

Depends on the platform (PS5/PS4 or PC) but the main game is currently on spring sale on steam for 8$ and after new DLC chapter get released where Kaneki is. It will cost either 500 auric cels (in-game currency which will cost 9.95$) or if you purchase DLC directly from the Steam, price will be around 5-8$
Kaneki will arrive in the game at April 2.
