I don't think there's anything I can say that would truly really mean anything right now but I wish you both the best and can sort something out regarding the living situation... that sounds especially sticky and what rotten timing!

That really sucks but also be kind to yourself, smoking is an addictive habit and as much as people love one another its very difficult to quit a thing if you've been doing it a long time, even if you're doing it for love. People who dont have any kind of addiction just see it as a willpower thing, but it's genuinely not that simple. You're not weak willed, cigarettes are deliberately designed to be addictive and literally alter how your brain patterns work. I hope you have help in quitting if thats something you want to pursue.

Yeah Vaping is addictive as it still has nicotine in it (they're e-cigarettes after all) so you're in exactly the same boat just with less tar in your lungs (which would be from conventional cigaretts full of tobacco).

It sounds like vaping is something your partner has tolerated and you've tried to give up and it's possible they're feeling like your inability to quit is a reflection of you not loving them enough, like love should triumph over all adversity right? But that's a very...idealistic way of looking at things and it really doesn't work like that.

But also demanding things of people, trying to make folk act a certain way...just never works. Im sorry that your relationship is over and that this was what crossed the line for your partner, but in a way it was kind of controlling behaviour and if vaping was not something you wanted to give up then giving up was never gonna work ultimately
