Telegram animated sticker help? Anyone?

I am making stickers for myself.... since no one seems interested, I have not been posting them.
HOWEVER, I would like to learn how to do the animated stickers. I was wondering if ANYONE would be able to point me in the right direction? do I have to make an animation first? Do I make them and upload the frames separate?
Any help would be much appreciated!

It also looks like it *has* to be vector based and not a traditional .png or anything.
