I was hoping to make MCFC this year, but the universe had others plans... My roommates bird got sick and he had to take her to the vet, she needs to be given medicine every few hours now, so he can't come, and then I got strep throat. It feels like I'm swallowing needles, needless to say, we won't be making it year. To make things worse too, we couldn't find a room in the main or overflow hotel originally, so we had to rent and Airbnb, whiiiiich is non-refundable. It happened soon enough that it was already well past check-in time before we canceled it, so I guess that's fair... just... sad and in a lot of pain too, but I guess that's just how things go sometimes.
