Last week, I had a run in with a person who (at the time, I didn't realize it) turned out to be a spam/bot. What started out as a simple request to use one of my art pieces as a pose reference turned into my losing more than $1700 from my savings account. Also, one of my customers from the previous commission round turned out to be a spam/bot as well, and I was served with a chargeback that lost me even more money.

The purpose of the temporary price increase is to help me make up for what I had lost at a time in my life when I'm emotionally vulnerable. Long story short, my dad is dying. There's nothing we can do about it. I haven't been asked or told that I need to pay for anything, but it still hurts.

After the April and May rounds are completed, prices will return to their $50 default amount. I'm not asking for pity. Just some understanding and maybe, if you can afford it, some help. Thank you.
