Alright, I got to vent here a little bit cause this is really starting to upset me and make me question whether or not it's even worth it to go on. I'm gonna be posting this to all my social media platforms because I know I'm not special, or anything like that, but I do want as many people as possible to see this, even if that only amounts to like twenty people. Even if for whatever reason you dislike me I ask you to put that petty shit aside for a second and just listen to something that has seriously been bugging me.
Why the fuck are people so mean nowadays?
Like it's constant. This whole YEAR so far of my interactions on the internet has barely been positive, and I've noticed people even IRL starting to get more cynical, passive aggressive, and just overall more rude. I know the world's been going through some tough times recently. For political reasons I in no universe want to even begin associating with, but is that really a reason to be such a dick, and completely forget the concept of human decency?
People hide behind the excuse of "dark humor" so much these days without even thinking about what it actually means or is supposed to be. I heard on a video sometime back that dark humor is meant to make light of tragedy and darker aspects of our lives. It's not the same thing as just finding a horrible situation inheritantly funny. Which is what a lot of people do these days. Just find tragic situations inheritantly funny, because they themselves didn't have to go through it. Or because some other stupid excuse they come up with to justify their "dark humor." People lack empathy so severely, and yet get so defensive in mass when you call out the fact that they do. People say that if we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it. Well, I'm pretty sure history is taught in most schools, and yet, still, we are repeating it. Violent protests, shootings, hate crimes. It's all just considered "normal" now. It's like the world has turned upside down. I've even seen people PROUDLY saying that peaceful protesting solves nothing and calling for violent crime filled REVOLUTION in my country, personally. Clearly we as a species have learned JACK from the atrocities committed throughout history. We only justify and condone it. Clearly this twisted idea of "dark humor" IS affecting our mental states, and how we respond to the world, in a VERY negative way. And yet it's considered "soft" to point this out. People are just so fucking close minded anymore. You're either a supporter or a hater, a. pro or an anti, an apologist or a skeptic. There's no fucking middle ground. And I'm not saying there should always BE a middle ground either. Some things are just straight up bad. Some things are just undoubtedly good. The world isn't black and white, but it isn't ALL GREY either. Ironically, that in of itself is black and white thinking, and leads to having no standards whatsoever. The world isn't all sunshine and rainbows, yes, but it isn't all doom and gloom either. Stop trying to make it that way just cause you have this sad idea that it's normal to be a remorseless dickwad. Normalize being empathetic again for Christ's sake, and normalize being able to call out unempathetic people again.
"Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it."
And right now I feel like a lot of people are just accepting and giving into wrong, on many levels. If this world really is going to treat wrong as the new right, and demonize people who fight back, I'm clocking out.

Despite such, I still aim to be as positive and understanding as possible~
I hope it's just a phase as well. I've noticed the internet going through phases like this too. It's been worse now then I've noticed any other time, but I'm sure it'll end eventually even it takes longer then usual this time around.
Hopefully it is. Still unsure how much any of this brain damage can heal up, but hopefully when and if it does, the temperament will cool down and people can return to a more calm and rational state. If not that, then we may have some more serious issues causing it. I've noticed it online too! Hopefully overtime, it does indeed fade~
