1.1 Release Notes:
•Growth charge income rebalance: The previous daily income of 2/3/4/5 growth charges is being increased to 4/5/6/7. As part of this update, players have been credited with retroactive charges equal to double their active days which simulates the growth that players would have received. The eventual release of the exploration module will bring the baseline up to 5, though it’s worth noting that not all exploration rewards will be in the form of growth charges.
•Grow command change: The !grow and !growrandom commands now use a set 5 growth charges (Previously used up to 5). This change was made to address a couple play patterns that emerged.
•New “fallback” category: Players can now use “fallback” in place of the category in grow commands. When targeting fallback, the bot checks the targets fallback category and grows that category for both users. For example, if the targets category is set to height, then both players receive growth to height. Fallback logic will kick in as usual for the initiating players if the category is capped or disabled.
•The new fallback category is also available for steal and transfer.
•Note: A bug was discovered with the !grow50 command while implementing and testing the new fallback category. We believe the conditions for the bug to trigger didn’t occur in the live environment. If you suspect a previous grow50 command behaved oddly, please ping Slyther with the message id link for evaluation.
•Case sensitivity: Categories should no longer be case sensitive. For example, “build” and “Build” should both be accepted by the bot.
•VPC crossover fix: The special VPC commands should now properly adhere to targeting logic.
•Misc. small fixes
•Patreon restructuring: A new $10 CAD Patreon tier has been created and tiers 2 and 3 have been bumped down. The old $50 CAD tier is now known as Sponsor (Tier 4 Member), and will NOT provide any additional bonuses for RoE. The new T4 exists to provide the option for patrons to provide additional support to Slyther while keeping the bonus charges more accessible. As always, I am extremely grateful to my patrons for generously supporting me and the game. Additional benefits for higher Patreon tiers are still a work in progress, and benefit suggestions are welcome.
•New self-assignable roles have been added to the #role-assignment channel and a new #role-explanations channel has been created. Both old and new roles will be used by RoE to determine scene eligibility and partner compatibility for the upcoming exploration module. Not all roles will have scenes available on the exploration module’s launch, but will be added with time.
