Up until like a year or two ago, it was stated and, in a few ways, shown to be set during Las Lindas.

How old is Kacey? Cause here she already doing pizza deliveries and Knighthood is after Las Lindas unless she's a teen here and a young adult in Knighthood :0 other than that, wonder how Grant'll fit in the storynafter only seeing him in lewd pics and ATHP

...Knighthood wasn't stated to take place YEARS after Las Lindas. A good chunk of it even took place DURING it.

Randal's brain doesn't work like that. Chalo could say that Mora is actually a sponge that lives in a pinnacle under the sea (while also saying he's joking/ it's non-canon) and he'd completely accept it

Despite being something of a writer, he's doesn't seem to grasp the concept of show, don't tell.

Uh, bullshit? No it isn't, things IN Knighthood even prove this statement wrong, let alone your own past words. Fuck's sake, the main comic literally referenced Ayah's attack on those people who found her and Knighthood has pre-pregnancy Ambar in its first chapter and obviously prepubescent Hikari shortly after, consistency is not a polite suggestion!

I don't know why Chalo or whoever even wants Knighthood to be going on adter LL. I don't believe for a second that Las Lindas has a planned ending given the nature of what it is and the fact that it and Rascals are pretty much the only Kemono Cafe comics that anyone actually "reads".

What benefit do you gain from that, it's another thing to account for that doesn't really add anything and will probably never add anything because they don't like to plan for or plant things. Just have them be roughly going on next to each other.

Oh, you can definitely see where Las Lindas was supposed to end before Chalo decided he wanted to drag it out longer. And it astounds me, despite it being even MORE obviously written as they go than ever before, to the point where the plot and character interactions often can't manage to stabilize themselves between two pages, we're still meant to believe every last bit of this comic is planned years in advance, like they totally always planned to have it suddenly shift from a terrible Love Hina-inspired romcom to, well, also that but with a shitty knockoff take on My Hero Academia mixed in. And to top it all off, they're actually trying to convince us again that Sarah is royalty and thus somehow related to Kate, and if they're trying to go for the secret daughter angle, then I'd love to see them try explaining how Kate managed to meet and have sex with some guy who clearly isn't Bengala while living her eternal hermit life, go through an entire pregnancy, give birth, leave her home deep in the forest, depart from Japan entirely to travel all the way to the Prime Continent in the middle of the Atlantic, drop the baby off at some random orphanage, and go all the way back, all while remaining completely unnoticed.

The Sarah thing is actually another thing I have issues with, without even looking at the logistics side of things. This has never been a part of her story. Why am I supposed to care about her being the true heir lol There's no conflict going on for that to matter, what problem does her taking the throne fix lol

Well, having the actual rightful leaders back in power would mean Ambar's position is abolished, so that'd certainly be an improvement overall. But they could easily do that by having the already-established true queen Kate finally emerge from her centuries of hiding and take responsibility, instead of bullshitting Sarah into Kate's lineage somehow and pretending this was always the plan.

Even if they meticulously planned it out, I still don't see why I, the reader, should care lol We spend most of our time on a farm and don't really get to see how the outside world affects it. I don't give a fuck who's in charge lol

Like the most I could see them taking advantage of this idea isn't even something that's good. Because how I'd see it, they'd probably use this "it's after LL" thing as an excuse to skip over important story beats to get characters to a place without having to write anything.

I also just realized, a long-ass time ago now, Chalo said eventually Joy's travels would bring her to the farm's setting and we'd likely see that coinciding with events of Las Lindas. Now here he is trying to tell us this entire thing is happening years after it.

So he actually had the normal, functioning idea and he changed it into something dumber later on.

Yeah, that's kind of a pattern that becomes noticeable when you look into a lot to do with Las Lindas.
