Ahh I feel you! I had to get a bunch of cysts removed from my thyroids, if you ever have to go through that it might seem scary at first, but I promise it will be fine! :]

I would say to look on the bright side - this is something your doctor is actively monitoring. The easiest way to cure any cancer is to catch it early, and it sounds like this is about as early as it could be caught if something is wrong. If it is malignant, you should have a much easier time getting it taken care of.

Of course I'll be hoping it stays benign, that would be the best case scenario.

I’ll try to make you feel better: I nearly killed myself early last week because I genuinely believe that I am a letdown to those around me, and I was wrong to overdose on sleeping pills. After taking a competency exam at the end of March 2025 I was determined to have poor judgement and subpar decision making abilities despite my incredible ability to absorb mass amounts of knowledge across my 32 years on this earth. I am also very grateful to have done all this work and all my accomplishments with just an 80 IQ. I too am extremely hard on myself and have been recently diagnosed with major depressive disorder, severe anxiety and possibly traits of my mother and father’s respective Bipolar and Schizophrenia mental disorders. Coming off of a week stint being psychiatrically evaluated for the fourth time in two and a half years to find out all of this has been a huge relief for me but also a massive failure on my own end, but I’m still very happy that I even got a chance to prove myself as a multitalented artist who came from a family of addicts who paid in. They were all instrumental in getting my foot in the proverbial door and despite my resentment against their inability to visit me in almost a decade I am still very proud of them and savor my every call with them. Sucks that I am deemed incompetent to live on my own because of my learning disabilities, but in the end I believe that my life is complete and that I just need to keep moving.

You made the right decision i deciding to hang around. You've clearly got much to live for.

Very sorry to hear it. It's small comforts, but at least you're on top of it, and while a fine needle job is pretty frightening, it's something concrete being done.

I know what that's like, though. You know it's got nothing to do with you, that it doesn't say anything about you and it's just how it is sometimes but when you just keep getting ill you do feel like a world champion loser. You're not, of course. It feels like it when it's at its worst, but you're really not.
Thyroids are right bastards, though, if anything ever goes wrong it's one of those at the bottom of it, isn't it? Really hoping for the best, and that everything will be fine!

You're not a loser at all. You're not in control of these circumstances, so don't blame yourself for them. We're all hoping your health will get better sooner rather than later, but don't beat yourself up over what's happened.
