You know, I've been called egotistical...and rightfully so. I mean, I buy commissions from artists to draw giant green kangaroos. Hey, I really enjoy being drawn!
But this just takes the cake:
I saw the ad banner on the left side of my screen for an Arabian Nights calendar. I clicked on it because I went to Eurofurence and that was the theme of the convention, so I thought maybe it was a compilation of photos from the photoshoot there.
No. No it wasn't.

It's a compilation from the photoshoot at EF15, but of ONE character. 13 different poses of the same fursuit in front of the same background. The only added spice: special guest stars with that fursuit. Wow.
I have no problems with anyone making money in this fandom, but consider your market and the message you send when you do something like that. You really must be into your character to expect 13 entire months of attention from consumers, for a whoppingly beefy 25 dollar price.

Fursuits are nice and all, but looking at one for 12 months seems a bit dull. At least have a bunch of fursuits, add some color.

Now ironically, if I saw a calendar of Duncan here in a dozen different backgrounds / situations, THAT I would buy.
If it's any consolation, I'd totally buy a Duncan calender. Especially if you used Santa photos for December, because those are awesome! ^^
y'know a while back we thought about staging a Critters by the Bay calendar. I liked the idea of different suit photos for different months. We were gonna have like September with a back-to-school scene with Miss Kitty as a teacher, etc. etc. Brokken would have to be in the back throwing things.
Then, like most things we think up, it got lost in the shuffle of other stuff going on.
And I'd be all for it. Especially if we can do a macro one where everyone's standing in my hands and on my head and shoulders.
December could be Ralph n the rest of the family rocking out or something :D

Just them in a few different positions. Admittedly my Border Collie one is just similiarish looking border collies in different positions o.o
