I find the audio a bit quiet though. Normally I have to lower my volume at most but this time I had to go up a good bit.

Writing it down in my notebook and on the calendar felt like tangible steps towards my goal, and I saw them daily. It kept it fresh in my mind and helped me prioritize it.

I agree, the audio turned out softer than I anticipated as well. I'll have to get more practice with Audacity's settings in future projects.

As someone who has built literally from the ground up an electronics workshop, actively collecting endless mostly retro AV/computer items to restore and acquired all the video gear with some vague notion of trying the youtube-repair-channel thing - then procrastinated over it solidly for at least two years because of this-and-that nonsense excuse - this is useful.

I'd wanted to do it for a while beforehand as well. A few things from others experience clicked, and I set out to do the thing in sharing what helped me.

There is more that I wanted to do with this video, but my time was limited to begin with and we had a sick family member that grew critically ill during the month I planned to work on it. So, I had even less time for the video project.

But, I managed to squeeze out some sketches during that month, and devoted a few hours on a day off to record my speaking part.

It was even rougher than I'd expected, but I felt that was in the spirit of the point I wanted to make.
