The problem with DA is that their TOS allows them to have immediate copyright over anything you post there, which deprives you of proper copyright ownership of your work, meaning they can use your work for anything they want, for any reason, including advertising. You're better off waiting till FA returns to normal operation, as the moment you post anything here, the copyright is under YOUR user account, no one else's.

And the reproduction clause is basically required to run a social media site, or else they wouldn't be able to share your works across it to show other people

No. It’s 90% ai garbage now, and with what the comment above said, your art would probably be fed into the slop machine.

It’s up to you, I never posted in DA. A lot of my friends are mostly here on FA The website is rampant with AI art, it might be up but to me it has plummeted from grace.

I'd steer clear of DA due to their AI and TOS nonsense.

DA is still fine as far as layout and usage, I still use it frequently
Moderation I've heard some horror stories about, but it's always "some guy I know" and never anyone I've met directly so I can't speak to it myself
There's an issue to be had with the content of what other people post, but honestly that's never been a concern to me; I check my Watch page and never look at recommended or the homepage
It's an art gallery site, not really social media, so I'm not using it to find new artists but more to keep up to date on the artists I already follow better than I can with most other sites
(Also it still has the best search features out of any art site I use at the moment)

I say stick to BlueSky. DA has become nothing more than a dumping ground for rubbish AI art.

You can if you want, just beware of AI generated trash and a lot of spam bots.

If you think it's worth it, then I say go ahead. There will be consequences with every action and inaction you take. Only you can weigh them and decide if they are worth it. But for me, I'd appreciate having more access to what you make, in case FA ever dies for good.

I am on DA and yes there are some minor issues there, it's not a shit show like FA has been. I feel like ever since Dragoneer died this site has been getting attacked and falling apart. It's good to have your art backed up where ever you can. So DA is not a bad option in my eyes.

What's wrong with your old works?

I've been using Bsky as an alternate site...which is now becoming my main site.

Eh, DA can be hit or miss. I barely use that site because of the aforementioned AI mess, only because I have some friends who still frequent it.

As much as I missed seeing you on dA after you left, I wouldn't blame you for not going back. I myself haven't even logged in in a few years, because 1) I've only found the time/inspiration to draw a few sketches since then, and 2) every time I look away from dA for too long, I look back and find it's somehow gotten worse. My advice: do what you think is right, but you're probably better off sticking to where you're at (be it FA or Bluesky).

With that being said, I still hope to become active on dA again someday (one can dream).

DA is a nightmare now. AI images all over the place and people seem to be even dumber than before.

I am not sure about deviantart man. They have ai art on the front page front and center and I have encountered several art thieves that the site still has not taken care of.

I say do it. It's not like you post anything explicitly nude or hardcore, so they can't flag you.

DA's an increasingly corporate mess that's fallen to AI BS and has staff with clear vendettas against certain characters and types of content, so personally, I wouldn't.
