I did get off Twitter though because it became such a messy site. Logging on was a pain and it was more toxic for me. I only made an account before to scare a bully. After that? I had no other use.

Then again maybe we could all do us a world of good away from such places.

BlueSky is NOT anywhere near as bad as Twitter now and how it was before Musk screwed everything over.

People are only saying that because they're trying to downplay the quality of the site as being an "leftist echo chamber" and other ridiculous claims.

It is a lot better than X. It's more customizable and you are in control of what you want to see.

Since Musk got control of Twitter...

-He has implemented AI features such as Grok and a feature that remixes people's pictures in AI which caused a majority of artists to abandon the site

-Bots have been running even more rampant

-Accounts getting hacked by crypto shills and

-Changing the block feature. When you blocked someone on Twitter, they can't see your user page or tweets and vice versa nor can they interact. It's since been changed similar to how FA blocks people: They can see your posts but cannot interact with them.

-Enabling of much far-right politics to fester the site... especially of the recent Nazi salute Musk did months ago.

-And they are changing the DM features on the site too

-People who had abandoned their accounts there have gotten hacked

But I can see why many don't like the other features. I haven't found them bad for me but I get it.

From what Dough Mutt has said above me, that is why Twitter is a pretty wretched place. Honestly I've never really encounter much if any politics in BlueSky because I keep to the furry and gay shizzle. And there are on the whole nicer people on Bluesky away from the foaming idiots. The sad matter or fact is, no matter where you go you'll always run into nasty people.

Honestl, you did a great job in avoiding BlueSky. The nasty, perpetually offended, perpetually political side of X took 'refuge' on BlueSky. I really do mean 'perpetually political'; wanting to stay out of politics is equivalen to 'genocide' and 'fascism' in BlueSky. In fact, all of tha talk about 'quality calmness' is based on an enforced homogeneity of opinion, whether through moderators quickly banning anyone to the right of Mao r the xtreme blocking functionality: you get 'nuclear block', plenty of blocklists, and a 'block early, block often' culture, which naturally leads to paranoia nd narcissism. Do no try to settle with being submissive and agreeable; they literally think that milk, T-posing, and Jews are Nazi stuff.
