Hello. It's been quite a while since I've made an update journal. Let's not beat around the bush and start with the news.
DEATH IN THE FAMILY
Might as well start with this point. My mother died last Friday to what me and my father assume was a drug overdose from mixing prescription pills and alcohol. We tried to warn her that mixing would killer and...well...at least she's not in any pain. As for myself and my dad, we're fine and we'll be ok. We've gotten over the initial shock and now we just have to find a new normal without her. It'll be heard, but we'll persevere.
F.A. OUTAGE
I won't parrot what everyone else has been saying. I'll just say it's good to be back on FA. Glad everything is cleared up and at least the downtime extension wasn't due to a DDoS attack.
JOB AND ROOMMATE
This is not what you think. I am essentially still looking for a job. But I am also looking for a roommate. But it's a bit complicated. See, I want a roommate because, well, my dad is 73. I know he doesn't have that much time left and I just wanna get together with someone who is willing to house someone like me after he goes. It's weird, but I am just planning for the future. As for the job? IDK, I want to get one and if I do find a roommate, I don't wanna leave them hanging. But fuck me if Indeed is nothing but a scam site now.
That's basically it. Most of panic and worry is for the future. My family is grieving my mother's loss, but we'll survive. And I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm begging. Given the current state of this country + just unfortunate timing, I'm a bit scared of just being left alone. To anyone who reads this, thank you and have a nice day.

If I had a place I could take you in I would. I currently don't unfortunately but I wish you luck in finding a roomate and a job. I believe in you. I can give you a site of work from home jobs if you want. Indeed isn't supposed to be full of scams they're known to remove scam listings when they find them at least. I know a lot of places are fake hiring unfortunately but don't let that get you down it's hard as hell to find employment right now and it's not a you problem don't worry.
There's also the option of trade schools maybe or the adult workforce centers often offer job training and help to get a job if you're interested in that type of thing. I don't super know what all they offer but I know they do some trades like welding for instance.
I hope you and your dad will be ok in the long run. My dad is close to his 80s so I worry about him too.
