Important update/absence

Hello everyone, this is actually Kelsie, I'm Elain's partner.
I'm sorry to have to tell everyone this way, we were both hoping Elain would be writing this, but she's been in and out of the hospital over the past 2 months. Some spots were found during a mammogram that caused alarm, and after a full body scan and other tests they found not only cancer, but signs of endometriosis as well. They were able to remove the cancerous tissue and she's begun a couple of treatments for the endometriosis but she's had some negative reactions to medications that caused increased concern. She's been in the hospital under intensive care for around a week now and was just moved back to a regular room. The doctors say that things are starting to look up and she can hopefully be released sometime next week, they just want to heavily monitor her responses to the new round of medications.
I'm really not sure how to end this, she's always been better with words than I have, so I just hope everyone who reads this is doing well, and leave some words of encouragement under this maybe so she can read them when she's back up and running. I hope you all have a great weekend and wonderful mother's day!
