These are my like best tips for artists
- draw one thing every day. Doesn't have to be good or interesting, just put pen to paper every day. Even if its scribbling in a sketchbook. Just do it every day. This is like the MOST IMPORTANT thing srsly every single day idc if you're tired or sad or whatever every single day draw one thing
- diverse inspiration is key. Look at one million different things and try and glean some inspiration from it. Especially if its stuff outside of what you make
- you dont need to do the same stuff as the people you look up to
- start with the big things and end on the little details
- do other stuff. srsly go outside an get some exercise otherwise you go insane.
- learn anatomy.
- complete > perfect.
- every piece is practice for the next piece
- know who the art is for. it doesnt have to please everyone, just the person its for.
- learn anatomy
- learn to draw anatomy
- learn the fundamentals. anatomy, composition, value, colour theory, etc.
- be critical, but dont be a dick
extra addition! Challenge yourself, try new stuff even if its difficult

if you want a good reference on it, i really recommend the book How To Draw https://archive.org/details/how-to-.....e/n41/mode/2up
not a person or something _YOU_ want to place on the plane... but whatever Im 39 and if I has not got it this far I will never anyways.
Love his books
tho being crazy about it would help too I think
-exercise (I rot if Im inside all day)
-draw erryday (I see a lot of people say NO DONT but like..... after thinking about it It doesnt have to be a full piece just practice lol)
-diverse inspiration (cool people know cool things)
-complete > perfect (biggest struggle emotionally)
-anatomy anatomy anatomy (surgery surgery) (no for real cartooning is impossible unless you try some figure drawing first its insane)
Its more about developing that discipline of always drawing, especially if you’re a career artist, it’s why I’ve not felt “art blocked” in ages cos I always do something even if it’s not worth sharing
jot that down sunshine
imo figure out how to get joy out of drawing before u learn to be good at it
Anatomy will be the next big task once I can overcome my struggles with proportions. <3
