He had survived against all the odds for so long, but he's ready to give up now. Tomorrow they're going to stop his meds, and only keep him comfortable as much as they can (they've been strapping him down to the bed since they brought him in). He's now got covid, so we can't go in to see him.

He wasn't a great man. Not even a good man. He had burned bridges with everyone. I pray my friendship with him helped. I'll likely be one of the only ones mourning him when he goes. May he find forgiveness with God before he goes.
