Fight her all you want you'll never win
Couldn't we just once leave her in bed
Let the dry air cut her happy throat
Hide her heart and lose her happy head
Well I've seen alot of journals on this matter, and have decided I have to put my two cents in about it.
To start, I liked the images I saw for the movies awhile before it came out. I stopped liking the images after the movie came out an everyone was freaking out about it. I didn't want to see it because I've heard alot of negative things about it, it's gotten such a fan base so quickly and generally I judged it before giving it a chance. Simply due to popularity.
I severely wish I would not have.
I can understand why everybody likes it.
It is hands down the most amazing thing I have ever watched in my life. I had no idea of the plot line going into the movie and I'm glad I didn't because it really really got me. I mean wow...Thats really all I can say. It was so in depth, the plot was just so amazing.
I had wrote a whole lot about why this movie was just so amazing to me but decided that it was to long and not worth anyone reading.
To shorten it, this movie had alot to do with my personal beliefs, which are very much different from regular peoples. Cause like the Na'vi believe almost completely in nature so do I, and I have this deep rooted passionate hatred for humans and everything we have done/continue to do. And it made me wish the world was different, it really does.
Anywho, I've decided that people who didn't like this movie didn't like it for 1 of 4 reasons.
A) You are one of the bad guys from that movie, (I-E the people who think it's a good idea to destroy the rainforsts, drill in alaska, and go to war over oil)
B) You don't give a crap about anything probably one of the same people who gets bored by Holocaust survival stories,
C) Your one of the people who doesn't like being reminded that the human race is a terrible thing, or,
D) You don't have a heart
Anywho I know I'm going to be inlove with avatar forever. I just hope it doesn't get more commercialized than it is right now. It'll probably die after awhile. I mean this year had some amazing movies but next year has lined up for us some of the movies we've been waiting awhile for like the Hobbit and Alice in Wonderland.
I mean after all, I think I'm the only one who still goes around quoting Captain Jack Sparrow. A true fan not just a fad goer.

FA+

PS omg have you seen how some people are drawing themselves as members of the Na'vi race? I so want to do this, Blues are so pretty ;3;
I'm glad its so successful, because James Cameron said if it was, he'd make 2 more films. *w*
Though I know someones gonna turn it into something sexual and perverted but, I love the story behind it so I'll prolly make an indepth story and character sometime soon <3
2 more films OMG X.x needs
Or some of us have seen the avatar commercials for big macs and been like "wtf, I thought this movie was about the environment?"
Just had to say that 'cause what you said made me want to see avatar even less ;_; and i know that's not what you're going for! :3
You know? Cause if you don't like sci-fi then you probably won't see the movie for that reason. And wouldn't like it anyway because...It's sci-fi.
For people who don't just don't like it after watching it.
So I made you wanna see the movie less from a statement I made about people who have watched the movie.
Okay that makes perfect scence. Seeming how you arn't one of the people who have watched it you arnt one of the people I'm talking about.
Because before I saw the movie I didn't like it either, but after I saw it and saw how truely amazing it was I changed my mind.
If you don't like the movie after you watch it and still disagree with me. Then you can bring up a valid statement, till then I just suggest you watch it.
Alot of people can give it shit for its publisity, the graphics, or actors, but for the movie as a whole if you don't like the plot line or what the movies saying your one of the 4 things I mentioned.
After you watch it you'll understand why I said those things.
I'm generally very picky about movies and i've fluctuated back-and-forth on seeing avatar because it's no longer just a form of entertainment, it's become a statement, as though disliking avatar would mean i want to go home and drink 1000 cans of pop, toss them into a national forest, and take a bath in the blood of baby seals while signing my soul over to Halliburton. Some people do feel that strongly; it's very intimidating.
Before I go see a movie, i tend to dig up everything i can so i can see if it's the type of movie i might be into. Some things I see about avatar sound great, I'm definitely interested in where the latest technology can take us. I love good, convicing worldbuilding (DnD nerds unite!) And if anything there's definitely a lack of original or thoughtful ideas in hollywood right now, so yeah, at least it's not superman XXI or Shrek the 20th.
On the other hand ( i hate to simplify), it also sounds very much like i'm going to spend 2+ hours in a theatre and leave feeling like i'm a dirty human and i ought to feel horrible that i'm not a mystical catperson deeply connected to my planet.
I guess i'm just troubled, that's all. I didn't mean to be offensive. I'm sure we'll have a better conversation once i actually get to see it. :3
You'll understand then.
Also nothing that I said was bad enough for you to act like I have no right to make those statements.
Taking everything into consideration if you don't like those movies (In my personal opinion) it is because of either one of those following reasons. Or your just one of the people who likes to dislike things that people like. First of the graphics are freaking amazing, breathtakingly beautiful. And I mean this on everything. Don't even look at the Na'vi or the Avatars, the scenery, the concepts of the scenery, the concepts of the wildlife
I'm serious.
Sorry ferret trying to get cookies made me post*
They don't appreciate things for there beauty, ie the typical american who's looking for a mindless movie, the same people who don't like pans labyrinth because it's compleatly subtitled.
I'm very serious and I have no doubt in my mind you will love the movie sweetie.
That said, I adored this film, and it was easy to predict all the different reactions that'd come from it. Let's not forget-- there were humans among the good guys as well. We are human because we have a choice.
And I guess the reason I'm so inlove with avatar is because of my weird want to just be a tree hugging feral human. I've always believed more so in Druidistic beliefs and native american beliefs, and have it in my head that the world would be such a better place if we all would have just stayed in our nomadic tribes worshipping the dirt and the rain, and living with nature instead of fighting against it.
Because it's like look what were doing, look what humans have accomplished the more we advance. Absolutly stupid creations, that you just can't help but look at and go, "Why!? Why did anyone think this was a good idea" like knowing 100% that plastic outlives almost everything, knowing it doesn't go away but still we make it and use it in everything. Knowing fully well how bad for us it is.
Noone cares anymore...Well...Alot of people care, but what bothers me the most about humans is there are always going to be more people who don't care than those that do. It's like yes there are alot of really amazing great people who do everything they can to help better the world. But they are so few, theres so many more people who because of there selfishness ignore problems or don't see why it's there problem. And because of a larger majority of humans as a species not caring about what they do, means that our species is doomed. Those are the people who will see the last tree and think it a good idea to cut it down because whatever they want to make out of it is more important then preserving life. Ontop of that it's not just our species that's doomed, its every other species thats in our way. There will always be good guys, but in real life the bad guys usually win.
I'm just going on a tangent now and thinking while I'm typing, I guess closing statements would be that I have very little love, and little faith in my species. But I do hope that our species as a whole realizes what it's doing before it's to late.
Mm. Conflict is a terrible thing. There's never going to be anything to convince the world otherwise-- but humanity's nature to solve its wrongs makes it thrive in terrible times. Some people, sadly, become addicted to that condition. Give a boy a sword to save his dog, and he might be bullying someone else's pets tomorrow. I hope some day you can find a reason to put faith in this mad race... 'til then you've got wierdos like me to sing about it. ;b
You've got a good head on your shoulders, and that alone is reason for me to thank humanity for being what it is-- it gives me someone to talk to!
