One thing I love/hate about the preg fandom is its one of the few interests that has IRL ties. Many kinks are all fiction and 'what-ifs', but pregnancy is something physical and real. That connection to the heart is a double edged sword, capable of causing great joy or great pain.
In the hands of a single obsessive bad actor it can so easily open old wounds of those who have experienced trauma and loss. Seeing burnout of artists who used to be passionate/specialize in preg related art is always a shame to see.
Unfortunately I have no advice on how to avoid such situations as certain prevalent bad apples within the preg community are serial at this point. A long history littered with discarded identities and a technique refined through the torment and trauma of their many victims.
While just a bystander, my heart goes out to those who have come to see this niche as a dark cloud to be avoided.
P.S Not me, I'm still going strong and passionate 🥰 Just feeling a bit of disappointment seeing another artist (whom I shall not name) quit offering preg due to harassment and torment from a known serial abuser.
P.S.S. Xander/Alex/Kai/Whatever-throwaway-you-go-by-now, please stop. You need help. Stop buying p*rn of other peoples characters and use that money to see a therapist. Be a better man and recognize that if multiple people, both friends and victims, are telling you that you have a problem then you have a problem.

How did you picture that working out? "I hope you'll consider" is just another way to say "Do this" with a slight pleading tone, your comment is a poorly veiled request.
There's an appropriate time and place for a request. This was not it.
This was not that. Do not try to lighten the mood unless its warranted. This was a serious post.
This was talking about problems, and you came off like an insensitive jackass and thankfully nobody's standing up for that, but your continual doubling down means that you do not understand when to, and when not to make a joke. Nobody else here thinks its the appropriate time to start joking and kidding around, and yes, you did make a request.

Now if Pregfur was saying that artists who enjoy pregnancy, then get pregnant IRL, yet something goes wrong. Or simply parental responsibilities obviously follow, leaving less time for art.
Then okay, I can see how I'm the asshole in that regard.
Nothing can be done about the complications part. Yet I know my fair share of artists who are parents on here, some balance. Guess that's a case by case basis thing though.
Thank you for at least getting I was trying to lighten the mood with something wholesome and funny. World has more than enough problems, doesn't mean you just dwell on them. "Life gives you lemons, make lemonade." And all that jazz.

One of them is about to be a dad (or already is) will that mean their art will show down/stop? Likely.
Anyway, now I see this has since been edited, and is a vent due to that porn buying guy. Yeah, he sounds like a douche. Hope he gets booted on FA and all that. Least this place isn't as huge a mess as Deviantart has become.
Still you can't spend all your time being pissed, try to find something wholesome in life/art. That was my goal, not to score a freebie art.

While my view points is different from others i like both preg and unbirth fandoms at least the gentle and loving parts of it as they both are the same sort. forgive the wall text and rambling but more or less I feel the same way i do with the fandom to others but can understand the draw backs of both.
I hope you don't leave the community anytime soon but if you do I understand.

Just recently, an artist that did great preg art stopped with preg art (and they might be the artist you're referring to). This partly because they were getting harassed a lot and had their Patreon art leaked not too long ago. They also had personal reasons outside of that for stopping, but it goes to show that a few bad apples truly do ruin the bunch. I'm happy you're still here though, and I hope everyone here will continue to do well (those that aren't bad apples of course).
Give them time. They'll recover and be back. And if not? I wish them well. Not much you can do about the crumb spitting jerks, sadly.
I got frustrated with the site because they advised me to remove my "Millie at home" images because the scenes involved a small child. Your journal got me to realize that I hadn't posted and "Adult" art featuring the subject of pregnancy, depicted in a mature and loving manner. (My recent favorite is the one where Logan, Jean-Michael and Millie are trying to persuade a heavily pregnant Jennifer into a Russian museum-sub on display.) I'm just so concerned about stepping on the admin's toes.
I remember that one! That one was quite fun to color, colored pencils certainly behave quite a bit different than a tablet.
