Beware of scammers!

I've been seeing a lot of cases lately of scammers posing as artists and scamming people out of money, so please double or triple check the account you received the message from. And if you received a message from me about slots and ych, again, check it carefully or you can send a note message to this FA account to make sure.

Folks: These people (may or may not even be Furries, scams are a lucrative business) know to intercept you quick if it looks like you'll be corresponding for art soon. Never feel bad about requesting some sort of authenticity challenge! For example: Planning art on FA but got contacted on Discord or Telegram or elsewhere? Try PM-noting the actual artist on FA with a passphrase, and then asking the contacting account messaging you on chats to repeat back what you sent on FA. See if they do, or try to bullshart you.
Be skeptical when someone asks for more info than you're willing to give or requests you send ANY money as 'Friends or Family'. Trust, but Verify!
