So, I arrived back from a holiday last Wednesday, then I find an email from the higher-ups at my job to tell me that I'm being made redundant. Their reason was due to the sudden closure of my previous base shop (I had been recently transferred to another branch not too far away), but that doesn't seem like a particularly solid excuse to me.


That's a nice welcome back, isn't it? Especially after working for them for 13 years. Sure, I was hating the job, but I wanted to leave on my terms, you know?


Tomorrow I'm having a Teams meeting with two of the bigwigs to discuss the issue and options for me, although I know there aren't really any other options :/ Not sure what exactly I'm going to say during this meeting. I know what I would like to say, but they'd be rather inappropriate :p


So yeah, that's where I'm at just now. At least I'll have more time to work on art to sell at conventions and fairs.
