Stonewall
Today marks the 56th anniversary of the day the dozens of LGBTQ+ patrons of the Stonewall Inn in New York decided to violently resist the oppression and persecution running rampant in their time. They say the first pride was a riot, and they are 100% right.
Were it not for Stonewall, I would not be able to live nearly as comfortably as a proud bisexual man. I and so many others owe so much to this one otherwise unremarkable night decades before I was born, and I feel the need to respect that.
I give my thanks to any and all Stonewallers who are still alive to hear them, and to those who have since passed on... I hope queer heaven is nice.
Stay strong~

Totally get this. I am a non-binary, intersex, asexual person. The UK is a hard place for trans people right now, but we could be so much worse off. Much of what we have is thanks to Stonewall. So grateful and respectful for that
