Captured and enslaved at a young age in the fabled City of Brass, Sha'ira longed for a way to control her own fate. She found it among the other slaves at the palace, an aging warrior from a distant land that taught her how to endure with the strength of earth, fight with the ferociously of fire, move with the grace of wind and think with the clarity of water. As she was a dancer and courtier within the Sultan's court, none thought anything of it as her body grew hard and lean, that is until the day she revealed her speed and skill in a daring escape. Now Sha'ira can be found just about anywhere, relishing in her new found freedom, doing good deeds where she can and occasionally wrecking face in underground mage duels for some extra coin. Hey, a girls got to eat!

A life filled with so much travel has filled Sha'ira with a wanderlust that borders on fatalistic. Her relationships burn intensely but briefly, as she seems always fixated on the next stop on her journey, and while of a generally kind nature and friendly demeanor, she takes it as a matter of faith that she will soon be moving on, and thus avoids long-lasting, deep connections with others. Sha'ira loves nothing more than to share stories of her travels and cultural explorations, and to receive the tales of others in return.

Through all of this she's never forgotten about those still trapped in that infernal city, but it will be many years, and many many more adventures to come, before she will be ready to liberate them from a being as powerful and brutal as the Brass Sultan.
