Mixed news with my new PC

Well i have a mixture of good and bad news as regards to my computer.
the good news is i got my new PSU and 5070 GPU installed and they are working fine. save some minor issues that are easy to deal with
As for the bad.. I might have lost my old Sata HDDs and everything on them. My dad not knowing used the old sata power cables with the new PSU, that probably fried the drives. i already ordered new SSDs and an duplicator to try to recover the data but with all that gone on today i am not feeling good about that. I hope i can get all that data back but who knows.
If anyone has dealt with that before let me know if there is a way to get the data back. aside form that its been a rough day
