A look back on 2009

Believe me when I say we have a difficult time ahead of us. But if we are to be prepared for it, we must first shed our fear of it. I stand here, before you now, truthfully unafraid. Why? Because I believe something you do not? No, I stand here without fear because I remember. I remember that I am here not because of the path that lies before me but because of the path that lies behind me. I remember that for 100 years we have fought these machines. I remember that for 100 years they have sent their armies to destroy us, and after a century of war I remember that which matters most... We are still here! Today, let us send a message to that army. TOnight, let us shake this cave. Tonight, let us tremble these halls of earth, steel, and stone, let us be heard from red core to black sky. Tonight, let us make them remember, THIS IS ZION AND WE ARE NOT AFRAID!
It's really almost new years 8D That's good, I suppose.
Anyways, Now that 2009 is almost over, I thought I would take a step back and look at everything.
Lemme think....
Well, I built a backbone over my first year of school, having to fight Housing for a dorm while living in a hotel, and I fought Academic Suspension, the school having finally taken responsibility for the incident. Uh... Which is good, because now I am off of Academic Probation, making three Cs and failing one class. Firearms is harder than you think D8
Anyways, let's see. I found out that I can do well with children. The ones I taught love me. My whole philosphy is this: Give the kids a bit of freedeom with what they want to do. Even though you have to teach them reading and writing, ask them what they want to write and read, don't go by an agenda.
Plus, if you act like a kid in the first place, they'll accept you as one of their own.
Another thing that happened was MJs death, no?
Well, I guess that was big news. But don't you think that maybe the killing in Iraq and Afghanistan and all of these other places are more important as MJs death? And the man was buried in a gold coffin, which is like giving the world the middle finger.
Anyways, we had other deaths as well.
My art work has improved since my first time here, or rather since the beginning of 2009. I think that is rather good.
I learned new things and made new friends.
All in all, I'd say this is a good year. People may not read this journal, but still...
And the killing, the deaths, in the end... something good MUST come through with this. I mean, maybe '10, homosexuals can marry, maybe the war will finally end. *sniffles* You have no idea how awesome that would be. Maybe the new Hellraiser remake will come out, and maybe the feud between Twilighters and Anti-Twilighters will end. On that last thought, I guess that feud will end when the drama on dA ends, lol.
:3 I will be drawing more this next year. And my resolutions involve continuing getting good grades, getting a job, and getting better with my art work. I am so happy that I have improved.
I think the only thing I did notice and lemme rant a bit here, is that a piece of fan art of mine recieved more comments and more views, while something I worked for severalhours on didn't get anything, except for one view and one comment that said, "I like it!"

It doesn't tell me anything. Nothing at all DX No useful tips, no "I like this... or that..." Just "I like it."
'Nuff said.
Anyways, probably make one of my resolutions to just go with the flow of things and not worry about those types of comments or something XD
