You know what grinds my gears?

Look, I'm no artist. I might've dabbled in the sketchy-sketches years ago, but I lost that creative spark well before I found the fandom. But to those just starting out:
Learn to draw BEFORE you start drawing porn. Geez.
There's nothing worse than seeing crooked, four sided boobs and dongs drawn by people on FA with the artistic skills of an eight year old in special ed class, and trying to pull it off as a serious attempt.
Nobody's going to get turned on by rigid and awkward furry stickfigures with ears and tail "getting busy," and if you do...well, I'll sell you a commission. Duncan-drawn porn, 2000 dollars.

FA+

which makes it even more offensive to all my senses.
I have to admit I do agree with you. Although at the same time it makes me a lil wary to draw what i've been attempting to draw. But aside from having raw skills I also have a ton of anatomy books to help me along ^_^
No but you're right...also all this Coddling that people do to something that is obviously CRAP Not even my opinion, but blantenly so....what ever happend to constructive criticism? Not "hey dude this looks like shit" but helpful non condescending tips?
Or are people afraid of starting unneeded drama because someone can't take it? or just afraid of offending?
I gotta admit when someone critiques my work [and yes it's work, i work Very hard on what i submit.] I will admit i get that defensive pang inside of me..but i Know they are trying to help. and i take their advice for the next thing i work on. [as long as they aren't being pompous dickwad knowitalls.]
But then again, what do i know...maybe some people just really like the attention of submitting things that could borderline as being....strange abstract?
Also never watched any bad porn cause I don't watch porn on FA *cough*much*cough*
*FAP*
But seriously. That would be a poor as hell argument. But what's even worse is that these kinds of responses do happen here. The art world isn't for the thin-skinned.
But honestly, some people just believe their work is good even if it is a pile of shit. I remember I tried to do some drawing a few weeks ago and I was shit since I have no talent for it, but I did draw one piece and it was the best I've ever drawn, and in my head I just went 'Wow, this is really amazing' but I had another few looks at it and realised it was horrible. I've been writing (badly) for about thirteen years so I know to stop and really look at something to see if its good or not before even considering publishing it, but others wouldn't. They'll stick it on convincing themselves its the best piece of art ever and if they get told its not, they're more likely to put it up again thinking people are just jealous, or elitists or dicks, or whatever.
Drawing and putting up work is the only way they'll get better though, I realise if they are that bad they shouldn't start with porn but if they want to end up drawing porn they should practice it. If they post it up and say 'Hey guys, this is practice, can I have some tips?' I'll be happy to help, its only the ones that keep posting up the same tripe for years and claiming it to be great and throwing bitch-fits if you criticise it.
But as someone above me said, I'm sure someone's going to appreciate the stick-figure porn. :)
This is why I don't draw anymore. Because of big green meanies like you!!
