So Thursday Alruic woke up with severe abdominal pain which only got worse over the hours so at 4:30pm I made the decision to call an ambulance.
They took us to the hospital and after hours of waiting, poor Gray in awful pain. They thought it might be a gallbladder issue. So we were sent home with an ultrasound appointment for the next day.
So Friday morning, we get up, poor guy had trouble sleeping cause of pain, and after the hospital decided that Gray needed emergency surgery because they have gallstones. (Their family has. History of bad gallbladders)
Gray was basically forced to stay overnight at the hospital and their surgery was booked for the next day.
Lo and behold, today rolls around, we're expecting the surgery, but no, it's postponed till tomorrow now because
Apparently???
The cold we've been fighting was fucking covid??? How?? We never see anyone??? LOL iT was determined that we got it when we got pizza.
So that's where we are.
I'm so sorry that we've been quiet and that's why.
I'm gunna try to get some art done, but guys, ima be real, I'm exhausted.
If anyone wants to donate since we haven't been doing art that would be amazing as I've been having to taxi back and forth to the hospital, we'd be forever grateful!

Both of my parents have had their gallbladders removed and recovered very quickly :)
This just felt like a bad head cold, the worst thing is the fatigue, I'm tired all the time, and I can barely taste and smell xD (The smell is okay cause I get overstimulated by smells easily LOL)
Makes me miss the days when deliveries were contactless by default for exactly this reason XP

I've had severe gallbladder attacks too. They are SO painful. :( Thankfully, he'll probably be feeling so much better when they get the little bugger out. It's an adjustment at first (like stay close to a restroom while recovering, especially if you eat fried/greasy foods). Ask the doctors about medicine for him to take before he eats to help absorb the excess bile, because it took YEARS for a doctor to recommend that to me and it has literally been life changing. Mine is a powder I put in a drink, you just have to also stagger it with other medicines. Mine is that you can either take other medications an hour before drinking the powdered mix, or other medications four hours after the powder mix. It's called Cholestyramine.
I hope both of your recoveries are speedy and you can get well and rested again!
It's been hard not being able to see them cause I don't want to keep going there and risking anyone elses health ;;
It's so awful that they're still left waiting. I know we're supposed to trust the doctors and all, and I'm sure they have their reasons, but it's so difficult to both be the one suffering and being the loved one knowing that they are suffering. I also hope that the wait is not much longer. It's going to be such a relief for your mate when they finally boot that stupid organ out. As much as it sucks to not be able to be there to support them at their side, but in the hospital is the best place for them to be right now so that their pain and everything can be closely monitored. I know that when I (finally) went to the ER during a severe gallbladder attack, they checked a whole plethora of different things to make sure that I was otherwise okay. Little bastard was full of stones, and a couple of weeks later it got evicted.
hope hey feel better soon
