Hello everyone - I hope that everyone has been doing well since the last time I posted a journal here regarding my laptop - https://www.furaffinity.net/journal/11176564 This is another update regarding my laptop, but it's more positive news this time. :D
So, even though I only had my previous laptop for around 9 months, all of a sudden it had some very inconsistent crashes and being stuck in opening in the BIOS screen upon restarting that I was not able to find any cause or reason for it, and I could not find any help online and the advice that Currys offered for it worked for three weeks, but then it ended up crashing again, and even with all of the drivers updated it didn't work either.
Three weeks after I sent my laptop back to the manufacturer Gigabyte for them to have a look at it as it seemed like a more in depth problem, the manufacturer not only didn't do a very in depth check of the problems I had, but they ended up damaging the screen - I noticed it the very night that I got it back, and it was not smears but marks that were VERY clear when the power was on against a dark screen D8 . After that, I ended up losing faith in the manufacturer, and so I took it back to Currys, and they exchanged the laptop for a new one from Acer, which I picked up and started using today. Currys were very understanding with the issue, and despite this new laptop having higher specs, they didn't charge me any extra for it. :D
If you want to know where I've been over the last month and why there haven't been any art uploads, that is why - I will keep an eye on how my new laptop works over the next few days, and I shall hopefully be reopening commissions in a few days after I have had a grace period to test it out and make sure it works alright. :) Fingers crossed, it should all be ok.
