Also, I'm not chewin ya out, just tellin' ya be careful about HP cuz Rowling actively contributes to anti-trans legislature and has openly stated she will continue to do so. My sister gets around giving her money by purchasing secondhand or ways that she wont get the money. My partner and I don't purchase anything HP but it is not my job to police what others buy and do, I'm just letting you know some people are rancid about others interacting with the fandom at ALL. Ye! I'm behind on reading the books I'll be honest. I'll audio book it at some point. But I can't just get rid of something I liked when I was young regardless of the person who wrote it. I don't have to agree or like her what soever. But I will still like the world she built

I read all the books back when they came out, it was something I got to enjoy with my family before I was outed as queer, back when they pretended to still love me, so I get it. It has good memories, regardless of the person who wrote it. And it's really difficult, it causes a grief, I think... that she turned out so horrid while having inspired so many people

I was never introduced to the books till I saw the movies haha so I didn't realize they where a thing till someone showed me. So I'm a bit late on that train.

And yeah.. I don't think at first she was horrid. I think it just she has a different way of thinking. And truely thinks it's causing harm rather then good. (All the issues she goes on about.) But the way she goes about it I think is painting her in a terrible light.

I believe she started down a rabbithole of misinformation and now it's just causing far more harm. I try not to pay attention to what she's saying anymore because most of that rhetoric, despite disguising itself as pro-feminist, is anti-queer, anti-woman, a whole buncha junk :< And she's so far down that hole... it's just a mess

Always cool to see the Na'vi and the human tech stuff. Been on the fence of making fanart and OCs for that.

Yeah. I don't necessarily interact with he Fandom if I'm being honest. Most interaction I get is my art and any comments. Otherwise I usually keep ti myself.

I feel you on not participating in fandoms themselves other than posting your own work. Been there plenty of times and learnt to leave them alone and to just enjoy the show/ characters/ game itself, as if I wasn't connected online. Much happier.

Agreeeddd! Some people in Fandom usually scare me off. Lol so I just keep to myself and if people like what I make and like to have more civil discussions. That's all good and well too.
