I've seen it; Trump is going after anyone who stands against him. Hegseth also fired a general who disputed the results of the Iranian strike. In the first Trump administration, there were at least a few people with sanity; now it's all loyalists.

Imo, Trump has no intention of vacating the White House, and I believe he's aware of that as well. He’s transforming 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to reflect his style, decorating it with tacky gold accents (scream new money) to resemble Mar-a-Lago, and constructing a $200 million ballroom nearby. He’s even selling Trump 2028 merchandise. Honestly, I’ve never felt this concerned about the future of America, and the world along with it.

It's SO fucking grating.

Trump is almost 80 years old, has consumed junk food throughout his life, and doesn't engage in exercise (golf doesn't count as a sport). His time here is running out. What concerns me more are the younger MAGAs, particularly Vance, who is my immediate worry. Being younger means he will likely be around much longer than Trump. Sadly, the influence of Trump will linger long after he's gone.

I can only hope Vance's lack of charisma will help the movement disintegrate.

The downside of a pompous fascistic publicity stunt
is that it comes around to bite the perpetrator hard

Both of these things were just stupid and extralegal publicity stunts, and as such I believe that they are doomed to fail. There are also suits against the government of Florida on the grounds of the way people are being treated.

There really needs to be a branch of some sort of SWAT-grade bailiffs
who enforce the courts' orders when the corrupt executive branch
choses to ignore them. But that is trying the fix the fundamentally broken system
that presumes to substitute the separation of mutual oversight
of separated government branches for having an ethical foundation
that promotes the leadership and judges based on their integrity.

Of course, the big issue is that many counties are split
in regards to what they consider to be moral and humane.
At least the extremes of cruel and destructive policies
should be placed outside the legal field,
like Germany outlawing the AfD.

Win or lose, I think Garcia is in grave danger; he's been painted as a target by the trump mob, and if one form of extralegal 'justice' does not prevail, someone will see to his 'punishment'. That man and his family need to GTFO of the US as refugees.
