Trump Says He Will Ban Flag Burning
Too bad for him he can't do that. There have been two Supreme Court decisions which have affirmed this.
This is just another of his attempts to flood the zone with shit and distract from the other fascist stuff he's doing.
I've burned a few flags in my day, the first of them being in the early 70s.
A flag is never so alive as when it's burning.
I've long had the idea of making an eternal burning flag sculpture. It would be sort of like the eternal flame, but would include a sculpture of a flag.
Here Drumpf, take this:
Come and get me, motherfucker!

Another petty gesture aimed at branding those who are opposed to Trump's bullshit
as unpatriotic and hostile to their own country, even though only those
who have the passion and the awareness to consider burning a flag
are the true salt of the earth of any country.
"My country, right or wrong" implies the patriot's readiness
to tell right from wrong, and to correct the wrongness,
but it's so often interpreted as a call for blind compliance.
And This is clearly just another of his distractions that pander to his base while distracting from the obviously fascist shit that he's doing.
so that everyone would latch onto the weirdness,
it's a pretty transparent pattern of Trump's, yeah.
anti-authoritarian political community:
the opposition news media must report
on every new development to keep people
informed and forewarned, but in doing so,
they inevitably serve as an extra conduit
for various intimidation and disinformation
campaigns enacted by the regime.
And yes, one of the fundamental issues
with authoritarian governments
is that the arbitrary ways
of their pass their policies
always leave the observers
guessing at their true intent
or lack thereof.
Thank you for sharing your discoveries from that treasure trove of a channel!
And apologies, I'm a little under the weather
since the rains have come, struggling
to be more responsive.
I should be back in the saddle soon.
