Too much gecko
You got gecko.
(Woman into gecko)
“I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack…” the words came out as a long exhausted gasp.
The woman, Maddie, enters her house, sweating steam, beaten to the verge of collapse. What a terrible, terrible day, and now there was the new claim the heatwave was only to get worse in the afternoon.
Nobody replied to her announcement of her return, her hubby was out. She would have killed for a cold shower, a cold drink and a foot massage... Being alone made her want to cry, but there was not much liquid left inside of her body, most of it was leaking down her armpits or was shining droplets in her red hair. Careless, she tossed her purse, keys and phone, after giving a quick check to the screen, onto the furniture in the entrance and proceeded to take off her shoes.
“Ahhhh…” she rubs between her moist toes after getting rid of the sock, the toe nails painted a vivid cherry red. “I need a whole month in the pool, I need to tell the girls we should get that hotel reservation…”
Shrugging her shoulders she walked in barefoot, a yawn made her look up.
The yawn made her see the green spot doing circles on the ceiling above her head.
“Not this shit again!” grumbled the woman through grinding teeth. “Fucking lizards!”
An awful lot of money spent on exterminators and the gecko plague remains, how could it be? Frustrated, she went back to pick up one of the discarded shoes, aiming it with malice.
“Die already!”
The projectile did not hit the mark, the blur of the gecko jumped away from harm, dropping down.
Plop.
It landed on Maddie’s exposed bust...
