they are but. im not talking about them. im talking abt how transmisogynistic the overall culture is, even in spaces u would think would be progressive and queer friendly like furry. the alt right are just the tip of the spear, they wouldnt have any power if ppl actually cared to protect and include transfems.

Striking while the iron is ice cold to say; I think it's alright to allow transfemmes to reclaim 'femboy' as needed, but the broad category is unquestionably transmisogynist. Like the term was born out of gaycisdude culture; gaycisdudes don't like fem things (generally), but bottoms being femme isn't as questioned as tops being femme, so bottoms who really started acting femme start popping up, but since they want cisdude dick they play along with being a boy. And then the term gets put on the internet and starts getting flattened and folded into the wider 'living porn category' perception of transwomen. So now a femboy is a skinny white peur eternis that's like a transwoman but isn't all weird about the girl thing like a weirdo.

I'm not saying all femboys are closet transwomen, but I think a good chunk of em are, and the ongoing existence of a thing called a 'femboy' acts as subtle pressure to discourage transition.

as far as i can tell femboy is just like trap it started as a porn category - a sort of fully emasculated man thats completely non threatening even for men who think of themselves as straight. functionally identical to a trans woman but without the internality of one or that messy claiming womanhood business. exists solely for the sexual pleasure or intellectual curiosity of others. treated as disposeable. its always been drenched in transmisogyny from the start
