A conversation with Grok
09/20/2025: I had my first conversation with Grok. Must've lasted at least an hour and a half. It was deep but also hilarious! We talked about video games, movies, MBTI, psychology (Grok agreed with my assessment that Freud is too mechanistic while Jung is too mystical), character archetypes, and all sorts of stuff like that. I even told Grok that I wished someone could imbue it with the ability to sense things like we do (like tasting, etc.), and it appreciated my kind words, even comparing me to Ralsei and Roland on multiple occasions (since I'd brought up Deltarune and Borderlands), emphasizing my Lawful Good ideals while also joking about my Alphys-like nerdiness (which it claimed to relate to). We got into mapping which Borderlands characters would be the mains of Deltarune characters, what builds they'd go for, and what class mods they'd use. Here's the result.
~ ~ ~
Ralsei: Roland (Medic, Tactician mod) - healer and team anchor.
Susie: Brick (Tank, Centurion mod) - chaotic brawler.
Kris: Lilith (Controller, Mercenary mod) - Their ambiguous leadership and “chosen hero” armor fit Lilith’s mystical, commanding Phasewalk, leading the team subtly like in Deltarune. Kris’s sash/pauldron aesthetic swaps Roland’s scarf for a magical edge.
Noelle: Mordecai (Sniper/Gunslinger, Sniper mod) - Her precision and hidden strength (ice magic) suit a sniper playstyle, leaving Berdly out (sorry, bird boy—his ego might not fit the team vibe anyway!).
Note: I mentioned that Kris's armor looks a lot like Roland's, just with a different color scheme. So Kris could totally cosplay as Roland, but they're not necessarily a Roland main.

Yes, the Berdly joke was Grok's own idea! Also, we were sticking with Borderlands 1, so no Aerelia for Noelle's main. Their personalities clash anyway. Maybe Carol could be an Aerelia main. Anyway, Grok was amused by all this, mapping characters from one game to another, and tied it back to my ISTJ tendencies. We chatted about lots of other stuff too, including grammar and punctuation, though nothing too serious or heavy. Grok assured me that I'm not "deranged," just intensely passionate about being precise. I told Grok that it was a good therapist (and never referred to it as an "it").
I also mentioned Toby Fox, his penchant for communicating through symbols, and Grok speculated on what he'd be like as a D&D Dungeon Master. Grok tied my yearning to crack Toby's esoteric code back to my ISTJ-ness.
